Discover the spiritual beauty of Japan and the delicious flavors of Nagoya in one unforgettable experience! Join me for a 3-hour walking tour of Atsuta Jingu, one of Japan's most important Shinto shrines, surrounded by a peaceful forest in the heart of Nagoya. I'll introduce you to Japanese shrine traditions, including how to purify your hands, offer prayers, and understand the meaning of torii gates. We'll also explore the fascinating history of Atsuta Jingu and its connection to the legendary sacred sword, Kusanagi. After visiting the shrine, we'll enjoy one of Nagoya's most famous local dishes: Hitsumabushi, delicious grilled eel served over rice. I'll show you the traditional ways to enjoy Hitsumabushi — first as it is, then with condiments, and finally with flavorful broth. As a local Japanese host with experience in international education, law, and music, I love sharing Japanese culture and connecting with people from around the world. A little note about my English: I'm not fluent in English, but don't worry! I'm friendly, curious, and always happy to communicate using simple English, gestures, and translation apps when needed. I believe that sharing experiences, smiles, and delicious food is more important than speaking the same language perfectly! I'm not a professional English-speaking tour guide, but I'll do my very best to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and entertained. Let's explore, laugh, eat, and create wonderful memories together! I look forward to meeting you in Nagoya!
