1. Flexibility and Time Investment
Customization Requires Time: Developing a deeply personalized itinerary that weaves together your interests (art, hiking, history, etc.) requires time for research, routing, and booking confirmation. Please allow adequate lead time for planning, especially for tours that involve securing specialized activities like fishing excursions or unique accommodations.

Sequential Planning: The most successful custom tours are built step-by-step. I will need your input on key interests (e.g., "Must-see Gokayama architecture," "Focus on Kanazawa crafts," "A day of hiking") before finalizing the day-to-day schedule.

2. Regional and Logistical Realities

Hokuriku Coverage: While I cover the major cultural capitals like Toyama City, Takaoka, and Kanazawa, and natural spots like Kurobe and Gokayama, expanding the tour to the entire Hokuriku region (Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui) will naturally increase travel time and logistical complexity.

Accessibility of Niche Spots: If your customization involves very specific or remote locations (e.g., highly specific anime pilgrimage sites or remote mountain paths), accessibility and available transportation will be key factors in the final itinerary. We must ensure the location is viable for a day trip or overnight stay.

Seasonal Limitations: Adventure activities like hiking and fishing are highly dependent on the season and local weather conditions. Certain activities may only be available during specific months, which could limit scheduling flexibility.

3. Pricing and Budget Clarity
My guiding fee covers my specialized planning and personalized services throughout the tour. However, customized tours typically involve a higher overall cost compared to standardized group tours, as the total budget includes costs beyond my fee.

Guiding Fee Only: Please note that my initial tour fee covers only my personalized guiding services and extensive itinerary planning.

Costs Not Included: The final total cost will be higher because it does not include essential travel expenses, such as:

Entry Fees for museums, temples, or attractions.
Meals (lunch, dinner, etc.).
Transportation (train tickets, local buses, taxis, or hired vehicles).
Accommodation costs.

Budget Clarity is Essential: To help me design the best possible itinerary, please be upfront about your target budget and any specific requirements (e.g., luxury lodging or specialized dining). This allows us to check the overall cost and prioritize options that deliver the most value for your investment before confirming the trip.

While I strive for full customization, there are certain requests and activities that, for legal, safety, or ethical reasons related to my license, I am unable to accommodate:

High-Risk, Specialized Adventure: While I can arrange hiking and general fishing excursions, I cannot personally guide activities that require separate, specific professional safety certifications, such as high-altitude mountaineering, rock climbing, deep-sea fishing, or complex backcountry trekking. For these, I will recommend you hire a specialist certified instructor.

Illegal or Restricted Activities: I cannot arrange or include any activities that violate Japanese law, local regulations, or the rules of temples, shrines, or private properties.

Financial Services: As a guide, I cannot act as a travel agent by directly arranging or paying for your accommodation, airfare, or railway tickets (e.g., booking your hotel under my name). My role is to recommend, advise, and guide you through the process, but the final booking and payment for these third-party services must be handled by you.

Inappropriate Behavior: I reserve the right to immediately discontinue the tour without a refund if a guest's behavior is deemed unsafe, illegal, disruptive, or disrespectful to locals, staff, or the environment.
