I am a certified Kyoju (professor) of Omotesenke（表千家） tea ceremony with over 20 years of dedicated practice. Deeply inspired by the rich world of Chanoyu, which encompasses the full spectrum of Japanese culture and arts, I established my own tea room, Jikyuan(自休庵）, at my home. Here, I have made it my life’s work to share the beauty, spirit, and etiquette of Chanoyu — primarily welcoming international students and guests from around the world. Having studied in Australia, I am fluent in English and passionate about fostering cross-cultural understanding through this unique and profound Japanese tradition.
